Next year, SpaceX may dramatically boost its already remarkable launch rate.

39 orbital flights have been launched by SpaceX so far in 2022, or one every six days.

The company's previous record for the most liftoffs in a year, which stood at 31, was surpassed by the rising total. That record was achieved in 2021.

However, SpaceX will undoubtedly set even greater goals for 2023. There is a rumor that the corporation plans to launch 100 missions in the upcoming year.

Yes, the goal is to have up to 100 flights in 2019," the multi billionaire businessman tweeted on Wednesday.

Large groups of satellites will likely be launched on many of those upcoming missions for SpaceX's Starlink broadband constellation.

25 of SpaceX's 39 launches this year are specifically designed Starlink missions, which launch around 50 satellites at a time into orbit.

Up until now, all Starlink missions have taken off atop SpaceX's reliable Falcon 9 rocket, but that may change in 2019.
